"KAI-HO-KU", or "Open Space/Open Area" as it is also known, refers to a regular column in the Myojo magazine written by Kimura Takuya.

On 24 April 2003, the articles were compiled and released as an essay book of the same title. The book contains 65 chapters in total, along with pictures (of and taken by Kimura Takuya).

To date, Kimura-san still continues to write the column for Myojo.

Thank you so much for sharing and thank you to the translators! I've borrowed his book from our public library but just to look at the photographs that he took. Knowing what he wrote is so interesting, especially when he talks about his family. It's so heartwarming.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Hehe... I like flipping through the book and looking at the pictures, but thanks to these awesome translators, I'm very happy to be able to understand his writings as well. ♥

Dear rz_jocelyn, Thank you very much for collecting
all precious translation of Captain's Kai-Ho-Ku.
Since I can not read Japanese, without these wonderful translation,
I could not understand his article nor not ever known
how deep his thought is. These are fabulous. Takara mono !
